Time to Journey North

If you have not ever checked out the amazing program Journey North, this is your year to try it out. Most of us adults will learn alot along the way and so will the children. Visit the Journey North website.

The sunlight/mystery class adventure will teach more about longitude and latitude, shifts in photoperiods around the globe, and seasonal changes than you would have thought possible AND it brings your children and the world closer together.

If you are more interested in animal migration or plant bloomings as signs of seasonal change, Journey North has something (lots of somethings) for you as well.

Last year was our first year participating (thanks to an introduction from our AIS friends!) and looking back at it has inspired me to make time for it in our studies again this year. I don't think I will regret the knowledge to be gained.

So, if you haven't ever checked it out OR you have participated before but didn't realize the time for the seasonal shifts to be marveled at has come once again... go and get your sheets and graph paper and color pencils ready because it all starts next week on Monday, January 28th!
