Reflections on homeschooling February 2009

All in all we have had a good school year so far. We had some family and health issues that have been additional challenges but we have been and are blessed by our families and friends, our health, a good job, and wonderful learning opportunities.

It is not easy to homeschool. It is always challenging. It is sometimes frustrating. It is very time consuming. And it is amazing to teach your child(ren) and learn with them. This journey is made richer by the homeschooling families who have shared in our struggles and been a key part of joyous events. While we have always and continue to reevaluate whether this is the right thing for our family, we have also always taken it one year at a time. We don't know what the future will bring as our family's needs and responsibilities change over time but we know we will not regret the this time we have shared in this family experience homeschooling.
